In 2021 I was given the opportunity to participate in a 10-week discipleship training project in Orlando, Florida. It was a summer full of growth and learning how to be a disciple of Jesus. Above is only half of the college students (from 6 different Universities) that spent ten weeks growing and serving together!

Outside of working full-time in Orlando, we had daily sessions such as Word and Prayer Training, Evangelism Training, World Vision night, Prayer for the Nations and Biblical Manhood/Womanhood talks. This shaped my walk with the Lord deeply as I learned how to have a quiet time, share my faith and how to fellowship with other believers!

The Orlando Project was the best decision I made this summer because it rooted me in Biblical truth and opened my eyes to God's heart for the nations. It was the first time I saw the need for global missions in unreached parts of the world. I grew tremendously as I realized the importance of loving God’s people and learned how I can be a part of global missions - even if that meant just praying where I am.
From seeking to reach college students to reaching the lost in the Navy
Each year, one of our biggest ministry opportunities was serving at freshman move-in. It was a meaningful way to offer a warm welcome to first-year students and show them Christ’s love through our actions. Following move-in, we hosted a welcome event to invite them into community—with the hope that they would come, feel seen, and hear the gospel.
My husband and I had the joy of serving in the outdoor kitchen during our annual campout, where we planned, prepared, and served five meals for over 100 campers. It was a practical way to show Christ’s love through hospitality, creating a welcoming space for both believers and nonbelievers to feel cared for and connected.
My friend Anna and I had the privilege of volunteering as cooks for our annual retreat, where we had the opportunity to serve 20 amazing women. We carefully planned and prepared five meals, all with the goal of making the retreat meals special for everyone. It was a truly rewarding experience to serve the ladies of our ministry. At the end, the staff showed their appreciation by gifting us matching aprons, which was a sweet gift!
